In Argentina, the fourth anniversary of a brutal attack on parking attendant Arturo López is being marked. In 2021, a teenager, Carlos Manuel Andrés, struck him on the head, leaving him with permanent disabilities, including aphasia and epilepsy. Although the attacker was sentenced in 2023 to four and a half years in prison, he was later released on appeal. The victim, however, continues daily therapy. According to his ex-wife and lawyer, Miriam Luna, he will 'never return to his previous life,' and his family says his life was 'ruined'.
